Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Leopoldo Dominix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Catarinense in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club Abrilense's goalkeeper Leopoldo Dominix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Leopoldo Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Catarinense came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match Sport Club Abrilense got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leandro Luix ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sport Club Abrilense's Leandro Luix was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Edorta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Severino Bruggink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leopoldo Dominix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Luix's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Luix helped the player get up and apologised. Leandro Luix hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Edorta's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cléber Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sport Club Abrilense's goalkeeper Leopoldo Dominix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Dominix made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Dominix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Agustín Saelices to score against Leopoldo Dominix in Sport Club Abrilense's goal. 1-1 after 89 minutes. Leopoldo Dominix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Dominix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
