An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Knut Utfal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. A collision led to Doffes Damer getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Knut Utfal hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pier Kopacz in the 11th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greid Tinsmith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Knut Utfal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göran Vedholm kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Greid Tinsmith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 26th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 33rd minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Doffes Damer's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greid Tinsmith came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Utfal came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pier Kopacz in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Greid Tinsmith narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Peru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Doffes Damer:s goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldo Cristi made a kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Cristi in the 60th minute of play. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Doffes Damer's Andréas Stigsson was substituted for Knut Utfal. Greid Tinsmith didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Braa in the 72nd minute of the match. Greid Tinsmith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Inge Braa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Inge Braa scored 2-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Doffes Damer from getting a goal against them. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Herbert Wincek, made in the 85th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the game, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 94th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rafael Gallo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Greid Tinsmith was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Doffes Damer's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
