Sandrinho Machado got a throw-in 6 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nando Barbosa. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Machado. In the 11th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Anaya was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Pereira in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ezequiel Pereira spun around in front of the goal 14 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Peru's goal. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Daniel Anaya in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Daniel Anaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Daniel Anaya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Lobo Guará were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nando Barbosa took the corner. In the 63rd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute Ezequiel Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lobo Guará made a substitution. Luizinho Custódio replaced Willian Caca-Rato. After 76 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Ramone. Peru's Efraim Gilabert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sandrinho Machado, made in the 78th minute of the game. A collision led to Lobo Guará getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Anaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Chants of Lobo Guará echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Peru had held the ball for most of the match.
