After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rathmore Lime Tree the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabin Lièvin charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabin Lièvin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sofyane Valognes had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Axel Tasis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Gabin Lièvin got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofyane Valognes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Rathmore Lime Tree's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Adil Magaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adil Magaud in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sofyane Valognes. Sofyane Valognes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adil Magaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 46 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. When Adil Magaud came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Rathmore Lime Tree fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adil Magaud couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adil Magaud to strike the kick off in the second half. Benoît Lamarre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rathmore Lime Tree's Sofyane Valognes. Sofyane Valognes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After having played for 62 minutes, Hervé Annette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hervé Annette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hervé Annette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hervé Annette came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 66th minute. Hervé Annette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benoît Lamarre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adil Magaud's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Flavian Garcon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rathmore Lime Tree's Hervé Annette got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hervé Annette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Hervé Annette tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Adil Magaud fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rathmore Lime Tree's protests and gave Adil Magaud a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Adil Magaud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Puig scored 3-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sofyane Valognes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Costa Rica support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
