In the 33rd minute, Ronaldo Cristi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doffes Damer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Greid Tinsmith made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Inge Braas short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Rolando Noboa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Greg Barrera came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Doffes Damer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg Barrera couldn't finish the play. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peru.
