The corner led Gräskraft BK's Edwin Brogren to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 马棋凌 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 马棋凌 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter Eringa in the 31st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingvar Lindberg got free with Julio Vera in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Gräskraft BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pieter Eringa to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but 马棋凌 made a huge save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 马棋凌 having to interfere. In the 62ndth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gräskraft BK's 马棋凌 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of 马棋凌 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 64 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented 马棋凌 managed to make a qualified save. Gräskraft BK's players were relieved. In the 83rd minute, Felix Montenegro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with 马棋凌 in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute of the game, Daniel Zorita landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Ecuador's Luz Palacio was substituted for Daniel Zorita. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Gräskraft BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Erik Gudmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Gräskraft BK's 马棋凌 got control of the ball when Luz Palacio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
