Emerson Paraíba came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 5th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kiko Leite tried in the game's 11th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Emerson Paraíba. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Francisco da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Adelino Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Emerson Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Emerson Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Emerson Paraíba to make any attempt to save it. 43 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Saldanha came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Paraíba didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamilton Luis got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco da Cunha. In the 86th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Venezuela's Camilo Gaos to fire away a dangerous shot which Emerson Paraíba despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 87th minute. Francisco da Cunha came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Venezuela had won after a very even match.
