In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiresia FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Vergaray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eriberto Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Garikoitz in the 12th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Vergaray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Eriberto Vergaray in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiresia FC's Eriberto Vergaray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Tiresia FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Tiresia FC's Eriberto Vergaray got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eriberto Vergaray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 26th minute of the match. The corner led Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig to a score. 1-0 in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Tiresia FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Vergaray had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. In the 33rd minute Angelo Garikoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiresia FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Vergaray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eriberto Vergaray narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Vergaray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiresia FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Vergaray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Vergaray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Garikoitz in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. In the 49th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Tiresia FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Vergaray. Tiresia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Eriberto Vergaray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiresia FC's Eriberto Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 59th minute of play. If Zeledon Eufemio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiresia FC made a substitution. In the 77th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Vergaray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Vergaray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Tiresia FC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Vergaray. The Tiresia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Vergaray should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alan Tamayo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eriberto Vergaray quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. Tiresia FC's Eriberto Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Orlando Casaus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eriberto Vergaray. Tiresia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Casaus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Chile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
