In the 89th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ferruccio Borrelli. Ferruccio Borrelli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Ferruccio Borrelli in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 95 minutes Tiburones Rojos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ferruccio Borrelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
