Toninho Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Espinar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Pierz made in the 7th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Karol Smolarek immediately put the ball in play. Jaime Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Kazimierz Madej made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kazimierz Madej in the 15th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Kazimierz Madej kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Madej came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CRICIÚMA E.C. made a substitution. Diguinho do Nascimento replaced Kauan Prestes. CRICIÚMA E.C.'s Xandão Crouch was substituted for Erik Kulaš. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kazimierz Madej to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Kazimierz Madej managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CRICIÚMA E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Kazimierz Madej was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The CRICIÚMA E.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
