Peter Belkå didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Iraklis Rapanos scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Karl-Michael Ljungberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Belkå showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Krister Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lite Finare Lite Bättre booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Lite Finare Lite Bättre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Peter Belkå made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. Emmanuel Reyes got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Antonio Tenorio. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Lite Finare Lite Bättre were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
