Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Ty Hislop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Ty Hislop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Sawyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Memphis Grizzlies's Mattias Sawyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Memphis Grizzlies from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Hislop in the 13th minute of the match. Memphis Grizzlies's Mattias Sawyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of play. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayden Sharp, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Hayden Sharp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Mattias Sawyer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mattias Sawyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Guillermo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hayden Sharp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chile's Mariano Lacasa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Memphis Grizzlies. After the first half Memphis Grizzlies were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ty Hislop was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Memphis Grizzlies booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Ty Hislop who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mattias Sawyer. Memphis Grizzlies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Memphis Grizzlies's Ian Prutton was substituted for Ty Hislop. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Stuart Banks replaced Hayden Sharp. In the 89th minute Guillermo Fontirroig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Sawyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Manzanedo in the 94th minute of the match. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Stuart Banks tried to sneak it across the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
