Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Alf Tempel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Fausto Montel sent off a good shot on target. Fausto Montel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Montel. 14 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rapid Wien's Alf Tempel. Alf Tempel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th play minute Fausto Montel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-1. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Fausto Montel put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shi Yuan Qi's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alf Tempel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Hagedorn came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Kraft came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rapid Wien's goalkeeper Alf Tempel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Hagedorn came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Montel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Andreas Olejarz charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Olejarz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rapid Wien's Andreas Olejarz got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 63 played minutes Rapid Wien got a freekick which was hit by Julius Reuter. Tomas Illescas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alf Tempel. Rapid Wien's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Hagedorn went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute Daniel Hagedorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapid Wien the free kick. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Yuan Qi in the 82nd minute of play. Timo-Fabian Wolf made a great header on Rapid Wien's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 85th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Montel struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Wien. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alf Tempel. Alf Tempel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Skoczylas in the 94th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th match minute, Rapid Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julius Reuter to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
