Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 6th minute of play forced Fuerzas Armadas's goalkeeper Oro Montes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xerardo Amer in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 9th minute of the match Fuerzas Armadas got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eufrasio Aranzubia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eufrasio Aranzubia made a great header on Fuerzas Armadas's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Oro Montes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xerardo Amer in the 12th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinto Nobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xerardo Amer in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Fuerzas Armadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Bastida to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oro Montes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gaizkine Armada fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fuerzas Armadas's protests and gave Gaizkine Armada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Fuerzas Armadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaizkine Armada to maneuver through the defense. Quinto Nobo took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oro Montes. Fuerzas Armadas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateo Bastida during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Fuerzas Armadas got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Bastida. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oro Montes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oro Montes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 64th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Oro Montes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Agustín Saelices was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Eufrasio Aranzubia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Quinto Nobo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Oro Montes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Fuerzas Armadas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
