Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 7th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Iakovos Ksiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iakovos Ksiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Iakovos Ksiros in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 10th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Iakovos Ksiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. Kolopetinitsa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Axel Tasis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kolopetinitsa's Iakovos Ksiros did a great save. Vassilis Bogdanos hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iakovos Ksiros having to interfere. Güralp Uğurtan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kolopetinitsa's Vassilis Bogdanos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dionysis Salaggoudis scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute of the game Efrain Moruga made a throw-in which Eliseo Noboa played forward. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Rubio in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kolopetinitsa's Sotos Pagitis. In the 47th minute, Juan Rubio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iakovos Ksiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Abel Carballo got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eliseo Noboa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 63rd minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Iakovos Ksiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes in the game Hugo Ferrant did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Juan Rubio. Efrain Moruga made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eliseo Noboa immediately put the ball in play. Efrain Moruga made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eliseo Noboa. Vassilis Bogdanos kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The throw-in from Hugo Ferrant in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kolopetinitsa's Argyris Kountouriotis. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kolopetinitsa's Lambros Karpodinis. Sokratis Kagiasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iakovos Ksiros came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Axel Tasis. But to his dismay, Axel Tasis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Kolopetinitsa's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Costa Rica had won, even though Kolopetinitsa had held more of the ball.
