Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Emmanuel Canturri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emmanuel Canturri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Emmanuel Canturri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emmanuel Canturri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulmo Vala's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 24th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emmanuel Canturri skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Manwë Vala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Valar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manwë Vala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manwë Vala in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emmanuel Canturri in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emmanuel Canturri. That made the score 1-2 after 71 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manwë Vala in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 minutes, Manwë Vala made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Emmanuel Canturri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Aulë Vala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Valar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Aulë Vala kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Emmanuel Canturri to make any attempt to save it. When Agustín Saelices was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, William Rigg notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
