USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Sitko in the 8th minute of play. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Edward Mcdonald came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Mcdonald couldn't finish the play. Commander Crowe's Edvard Fagerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 23rd minute of play. Edvard Fagerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Ireno came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Commander Crowe's Edvard Fagerberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Commander Crowe from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Edvard Fagerberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Commander Crowe's Edvard Fagerberg. Edvard Fagerberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Ireno got free with Marco Day in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Edvard Fagerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Commander Crowe got a freekick which was hit by Shi De Chang. In the 74th minute, Håkan Västerstrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Commander Crowe's zone, Sam Campbell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvard Fagerberg came out of the goal and Sam Campbell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 86 in the game by Nicasio Gotzon from a close distance when the talented Marco Day managed to make a qualified save. USA's players were relieved. Commander Crowe's Alfredo Ireno got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicasio Gotzon's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Edvard Fagerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Ireno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 98th minute of the match Commander Crowe got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cyprian Sitko ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Commander Crowe's Cyprian Sitko to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of USA booed when Commander Crowe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 100 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Västerstrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvard Fagerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 101st minute.
