Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Juan Sebastián Puig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wojtek Szczęsny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wojtek Szczęsny saved truchamel fc from getting behind. If Guido Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wojtek Szczęsny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 28th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wojtek Szczęsny was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Wojtek Szczęsny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play forced truchamel fc's goalkeeper Wojtek Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wojtek Szczęsny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when truchamel fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mel Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wojtek Szczęsny was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the game, Cristian Sayveon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. truchamel fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 62 played minutes truchamel fc got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sayveon. In the 64th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wojtek Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute Agustín Saelices suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Guido Montrel's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Montrel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, truchamel fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Montrel to maneuver through the defense. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wojtek Szczęsny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 91st minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sayveon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind truchamel fc's goalkeeper Wojtek Szczęsny, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
