Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Vätö booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingmar Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Barrios, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Vätö's Stig-Åke Söderman got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Håkansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingmar Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 19th minute of play. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Vätö's Henry Hermansson got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ingmar Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Matthew Garrido in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vätö's Birger Henriksson. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Åke Söderman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pelle Pihlgren charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pelle Pihlgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vätö getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Pelle Pihlgren hit a great ball. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ingmar Håkansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingmar Håkansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig-Åke Söderman to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Vätö's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingmar Håkansson came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Pihlgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Alex Cambeiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ingmar Håkansson. The goal made the score 1-2. Ingmar Håkansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 60th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ingmar Håkansson made a huge save. In the 64th minute Henry Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Hermansson came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Hermansson in the 70th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's Miguel Miralles pulled a muscle in his back after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Panama made a substitution. Oscar Laguna replaced Miguel Miralles. After 82 played minutes Vätö got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Valrot. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ingmar Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Vätö's Ingmar Håkansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Vätö getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Evert Sörman hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes, Panama's Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ingmar Håkansson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panama reached it. Abraham Alguacil scored 1-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingmar Håkansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pelle Pihlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
