If Sergiu Zgrăbunţa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Sergiu Zgrăbunţa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. In the 8th minute, Luca Iacobescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Ilarie came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Sergiu Zgrăbunţa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Axel Tasis fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Axel Tasis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Zgrăbunţa in the 23rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Slobozia FC's Sergiu Zgrăbunţa in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute, Artur Walec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergiu Zgrăbunţa scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the game, Slobozia FC's Sergiu Zgrăbunţa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Iosif Ilarie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Zgrăbunţa in the 38th minute of play. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Iacobescu in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute Luca Iacobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slobozia FC were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Artur Walec took the corner. Slobozia FC's Artur Walec was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When Slobozia FC's Sergiu Zgrăbunţa in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Sergiu Zgrăbunţa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Luca Iacobescu came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 65 minute. The supporters of Slobozia FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Artur Walec in the 71st minute really tested Benito Sanz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Iosif Ilarie came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Slobozia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iosif Ilarie couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Zgrăbunţa came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Sergiu Zgrăbunţa notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iosif Ilarie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Slobozia FC's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sergiu Zgrăbunţa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 92 minutes, Răzvan Boboc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slobozia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Boboc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergiu Zgrăbunţa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 97 minutes, Robert Crușeveanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slobozia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Crușeveanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Slobozia FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
