Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by 杜亦光 in the 16th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the ◇Mz.梦◆鱼人队 defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roland Rakowski. The ◇Mz.梦◆鱼人队 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Rakowski should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Roland Rakowski. ◇Mz.梦◆鱼人队's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 25 minutes into the match, ◇Mz.梦◆鱼人队's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Roland Rakowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Roland Rakowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 王弘荣 kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roland Rakowski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, 曲彬适 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 53 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roland Rakowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the match, ◇Mz.梦◆鱼人队's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Roland Rakowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When 王弘荣 fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ◇Mz.梦◆鱼人队's protests and gave 王弘荣 a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ◇Mz.梦◆鱼人队 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. 王弘荣 hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 武挺诚 in the 62nd minute of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Rakowski having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Dracena in the 73rd minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 顾平辉, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Roland Rakowski in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 曲彬适, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roland Rakowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conrado Dracena's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roland Rakowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
