Doctor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play forced Doctor's goalkeeper Vânderson Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play forced Doctor's goalkeeper Vânderson Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vânderson Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doctor's Vânderson Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Vânderson Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maarek Jaama could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 29th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Doctor's Vânderson Pena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vânderson Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Doctor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 44 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Doctor the free kick. In the 44th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Neeme Juur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Neeme Juur tried to chip the ball over his head. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maarek Jaama was the one to do the kick off. Vânderson Pena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vânderson Pena came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hannes Raidla during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vânderson Pena quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaanus Klausen in the 80th minute of play. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maarek Jaama, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play forced Doctor's goalkeeper Vânderson Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vânderson Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Vânderson Pena in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Doctor's Maarek Jaama. But to his dismay, Maarek Jaama quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
