Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roman Corte kicked off to start the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s goalie and right to Richard Mccarthy. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiadoro Cores in the 5th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Popoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Corte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Koby Wright ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Koby Wright got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Avram Popoiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jan Dixon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Avram Popoiu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jan Dixon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Avram Popoiu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Avram Popoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Damasco F.C. from getting a goal against them. Canada were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Koby Wright took the corner. Koby Wright made a great header on Canada's corner, it was just that Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Avram Popoiu managed to reach the ball for a save. Jan Dixon might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Avram Popoiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Dixon ran back to his position shaking his head. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Corte in the 37th minute of play. Avram Popoiu made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Jan Dixon sent off a good shot on target. Jan Dixon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Avram Popoiu having to make a save. 42 minutes into the game, Federico Lertora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canada the free kick. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Federico Lertora got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The audience was convinced that Jan Dixon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Avram Popoiu was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Montxo Cabero got a free kick in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Damasco F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Canada.
