Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 19 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Club Brugge's Stein Spoelberch got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Club Brugge's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Stein Spoelberch despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 孔磊傲 in the 25th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 孔磊傲's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After 37 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was King Eken who took care of the corner kick. Club Brugge's King Eken was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zhuo Di Yao during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zhuo Di Yao hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Stein Spoelberch in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 孔磊傲 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stein Spoelberch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Daniel Zorita sped through Club Brugge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stein Spoelberch. 54 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Stein Spoelberch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Stein Spoelberch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pieter Van Landewijck's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pieter Van Landewijck helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Brugge getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Pieter Van Landewijck hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when King Eken tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when King Eken sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stein Spoelberch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Brugge's Jan-Simon Elsen was substituted for 孔磊傲. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Stein Spoelberch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stein Spoelberch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Club Brugge's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 97 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stein Spoelberch. Club Brugge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
