After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some careless play in the F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pompiliu Nisporeanu. The F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pompiliu Nisporeanu should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Pompiliu Nisporeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Udroiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Felix Udroiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gayoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Pompiliu Nisporeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pompiliu Nisporeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 30 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Dan Aanuţei. Francisco Seco scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pompiliu Nisporeanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maximiliano Escribano might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pompiliu Nisporeanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximiliano Escribano ran back to his position shaking his head. Pompiliu Nisporeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of Uruguay booed when F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Aanuţei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pompiliu Nisporeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 47 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Roşu. The F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 0-2.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Pompiliu Nisporeanu in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Cangeopol in the 54th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Iulian Cangeopol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Doru Săvescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Cangeopol, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 84 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. Iulian Cangeopol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute Iulian Cangeopol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Doru Săvescu in the 94 minute of the game. 96 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Pompiliu Nisporeanu. The F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
