Wawrzyniec Niedziela came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Alo Ülipikk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Grimório's Aivar Kaalep seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aivar Kaalep the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grimório protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aivar Kaalep had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Mexico booed when Grimório was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aivar Kaalep didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Niedziela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grimório's Wawrzyniec Niedziela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wawrzyniec Niedziela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grimório's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wawrzyniec Niedziela quite easily take care of the ball. In the 55th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Wawrzyniec Niedziela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 57th minute. With a little luck, Grimório's Wawrzyniec Niedziela got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Grimório's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Wawrzyniec Niedziela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grimório's attentive Renaud Van de Put managed to snatch the ball when Joel Gaona made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Alberto Tafalla took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Wawrzyniec Niedziela to make any attempt to save it. Grimório's Jack Walroth was substituted for Tõnis Kaldvee. Grimório's Joel Lüüs was substituted for Renaud Van de Put. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wawrzyniec Niedziela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 87th minute. With a little luck, Grimório's Wawrzyniec Niedziela got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Wawrzyniec Niedziela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alberto Tafalla scored 1-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wawrzyniec Niedziela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
