Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the game, Simão de Toledo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Manchester United FC! Manchester United FC:s Bruno Martini showed great skill when he stopped Jaime Cazalla:s penalty. In the 11th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 14 in the game by Maximiliano Escribano from a close distance when the talented Bruno Martini managed to make a qualified save. Manchester United FC's players were relieved. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Simão de Toledo in the 19 minute of the game. Agnaldo Montenegro hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Jaime Cazalla fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 24th minute Manfred Rudqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Bruno Martini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Martini was a little too slow when Francisco Seco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-1. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Rudqvist in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Manfred Rudqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Ľubomír Timčo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Ľubomír Timčo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the game, Joachim De Jonghe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Manchester United FC's Joachim De Jonghe got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 59 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. Bruno Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Kevin Carballal got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-3. 63 minutes into the match. Ľubomír Timčo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Ľubomír Timčo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 67th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Joachim De Jonghe sent off a good shot on target. Bruno Martini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simão de Toledo made in the 78th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Joachim De Jonghe. In the 79th minute, Ľubomír Timčo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 2-5. The throw-in from Simão de Toledo in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano. Bruno Martini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 87th minute of play. 93 minutes in the game Simão de Toledo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Freek Tamminga. Manchester United FC were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Simão de Toledo took the corner. Manchester United FC's Simão de Toledo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
