Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Metapalo FC's Dante Rafe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 6 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Rafe came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Metapalo FC's Dante Rafe. But to his dismay, Dante Rafe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Valentin Negroni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Rafe in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Dante Rafe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metapalo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Rafe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Dante Rafe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Dante Rafe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Rafe in the 24th minute of the match. If Valentin Negroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Dante Rafe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 32 minutes of play, Metapalo FC's Dante Rafe made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gavino Belarmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Valentin Negroni came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Metapalo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Negroni couldn't finish the play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Rafe in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Negroni was the one to do the kick off. Dante Rafe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 52nd playminute. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Dante Rafe sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Valentin Negroni got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-8. Dante Rafe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Dante Rafes short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 71 minutes into the match, Dante Rafe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 0-9. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Negroni showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 76 minute of play. A hard shot 80 in the game by Dante Rafe from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 0-11 when Dante Rafe sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Dante Rafe struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metapalo FC. After 86 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. If Bengt-Arne Thedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Negroni in the 91st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Metapalo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
