Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Jael Jardel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Jael Jardel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gil Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Brito. 19 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grêmio 20 Julho's Renatinho Marques quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Anderson de Sousa took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Grêmio 20 Julho's César da Silveira got a free kick in the 24th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Grêmio 20 Julho's Anderson de Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Chicote was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 46th minute. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a Grêmio 20 Julho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 67th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by César da Silveira. Jose Correa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gil Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Patricio Costa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by João Adolfo de Andrade in the 92 minute of the game. In the 96th minute, Ivo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grêmio 20 Julho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
