Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Rab Cura made a huge save. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. After 13 minutes, Hillar Vent mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RODOS F.C. and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hillar Vent kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. RODOS F.C.'s Rab Cura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save RODOS F.C. from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rab Cura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Wawro in the 24th minute of the match. The corner led RODOS F.C.'s Hillar Vent to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When RODOS F.C.'s Lakis Traganitis in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lakis Traganitis went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 35thth minute of the game Lakis Traganitis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Lakis Traganitis managed to get in a good position for a shot. RODOS F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Lakis Traganitis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Lakis Traganitis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Lakis Traganitis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. After the first half RODOS F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hillar Vent kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lakis Traganitis in the 56th minute of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rab Cura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Dimitris Venieris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. RODOS F.C.'s 龚杰迪 was substituted for Wim Jansen. Marcin Wawro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 74 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Traganitis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute RODOS F.C. were awarded a corner. Hillar Vent went to the cornerflag to take it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcin Wawro in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcin Wawro. RODOS F.C.'s Gilberto Funes was substituted for Henry Zimmermann. In the 85th minute, Lakis Traganitis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rab Cura came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. RODOS F.C. played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
