In the 19th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spencer Holder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Kacper Wasikowski sent off a good shot on target. When S.D. Bajen's Lincoln Hand in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Kacper Wasikowski notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Nicolae. Foster Contreras's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Foster Contreras helped the player get up and apologised. Foster Contreras kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Nicolae got free with Dante Lacasa in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Spencer Holder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Spencer Holder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Nicolae in the 66th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Spencer Holder made a huge save. Spencer Holder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 72nd minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.D. Bajen's João Rodrigo was substituted for Foster Contreras. 81 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Malone came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, S.D.
