Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erlantz Bermejo went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maurino Serena. The goal made the score 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurino Serena. That made the score 1-3 in the 85 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 91st minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A.D. Alcorcón throughout the match.
