When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lv Hai Chong sped through El Salvador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Hai Chong in the 29th minute of the match. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Lv Hai Chong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Lv Hai Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 35 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Zinédine Papoutsiadis came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dimitris Skondras was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lv Hai Chong in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. In the 71stth minute of the game Dimitris Skondras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over MICE F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Salvador throughout the match.
