After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Pedro Chumo got a free kick in the 9th minute. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 11th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dragoş Bitang in the 15th minute. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kajetan Madajczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, FC Inter Sibiu's Ahmad Okhumeode í Lon Jacobsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Dragoş Bitang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sorin Manciu to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmad Okhumeode í Lon Jacobsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastián Sosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Manciu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 60th minute. A collision led to FC Inter Sibiu getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dragoş Bitang hit a great ball. Kajetan Madajczyk succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. In the 72nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sorin Manciu in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match FC Inter Sibiu got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Codrin Chihaia ran over to the corner to take the kick. 85 minutes into the game, FC Inter Sibiu's Ahmad Okhumeode í Lon Jacobsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 88th minute Sorin Manciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sorin Manciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the FC Inter Sibiu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
