The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Arvin Gerdberg put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Joxa mé trasan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Joxa mé trasan's Edward Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Engström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joxa mé trasan's Edward Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play forced Joxa mé trasan's goalkeeper Edward Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludvig Ahlroth to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludvig Ahlroth in the 54th minute of play. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Engström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Arne Bronco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot.
