The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Adelio Masoli got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 11 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, PROTON F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Taka Levidze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PROTON F.C.'s Luis Alberto Dagnino quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Camilo Gisbert, made in the 17th minute of the game. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 played minutes PROTON F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marco Mistral. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Mistral came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taka Levidze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Taka Levidze was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

PROTON F.C.'s Taka Levidze proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save PROTON F.C. from getting a goal against them. Taka Levidze didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With his leg Taka Levidze managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of PROTON F.C. booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, PROTON F.C.'s Taka Levidze got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute, Ecuador's Antonio Arias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Antonio Arias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Antonio Arias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Taka Levidze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after PROTON F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Marco Mistral managed to get in a good position for a shot. PROTON F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Mistral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aníbal Veliz hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enric Blanch went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score.
