Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klas Sundin in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Klas Sundin sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. After 7 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. In the 10th minute of the match Sparka & Spring BK got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Min Abajas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Artur Pacholewski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. 11 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tor Jonsson, 1-1. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tor Jonsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Sundin in the 20th minute of play. Sparka & Spring BK were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Min Abajas took the corner. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klas Sundin in the 23rd minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Sparka & Spring BK's Klas Sundin. But to his dismay, Klas Sundin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Roland Fogel took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Tor Jonsson made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Tor Jonsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Klas Sundin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tor Jonsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Jonsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Roland Fogel could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. 75 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Sparka & Spring BK's Tor Jonsson. Tor Jonsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harald Josefsson during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tor Jonsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 84th minute of play. Roland Fogel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Torsberg. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tor Jonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sparka & Spring BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Arne Höijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klas Sundin got free with Julio Vera in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
