After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanislav Satinský breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanislav Satinský. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomil Bielatowicz in the 19th minute of the match. Stanislav Satinský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Bielatowicz in the 25th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanislav Satinský took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after MZKS Sharks Gdynia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of MZKS Sharks Gdynia's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Niek Wander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Artur Rakiewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 62 played minutes Felix Montenegro shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Stanislav Satinský to catch but Felix Montenegro was lucky. It became 0-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. With a little luck, MZKS Sharks Gdynia's Stanislav Satinský got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Stanislav Satinský in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the match, MZKS Sharks Gdynia's goalkeeper Stanislav Satinský had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stanislav Satinský in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. MZKS Sharks Gdynia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Stanislav Satinský, making the score, 0-4. In the 95th minute, Güntekin Enginer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stanislav Satinský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MZKS Sharks Gdynia.
