The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. A collision led to BEIJO CARNAVAL getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tomás Lleir hit a great ball. BEIJO CARNAVAL's Godfredo Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 21st minute of play. After 24th play minutes Lautaro Mancebo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Godfredo Abarca and just under the crossbar into goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Peso in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Adam Jönsson sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godfredo Abarca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richard Peso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leonardo Leoz made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by BEIJO CARNAVAL's Gerardo Abilio. Facundo Cadaval could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Godfredo Abarca made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Facundo Cadaval got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Godfredo Abarca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by BEIJO CARNAVAL's Gerardo Abilio. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Peso in the 65th minute of play. BEIJO CARNAVAL made a substitution. Saverio Belasko replaced Adam Jönsson. Richard Peso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Peso came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfredo Abarca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. BEIJO CARNAVAL made a substitution. Romulo Arias replaced Rigoberto Olayo.
