After having played for 11 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Edgar Caneças fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Young Angola's protests and gave Edgar Caneças a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Young Angola got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Caneças. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Panama fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Panama's Abraham Alguacil looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 42 minutes into the match, Young Angola's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but 叶镇晨 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 叶镇晨 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Tomas Berganza put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of 叶镇晨. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 played minutes Young Angola got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Caneças. Abraham Alguacil's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, 叶镇晨 skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but 叶镇晨 made a huge save. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abraham Alguacil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of 叶镇晨 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Panama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
