Rodo's Jeremy Avellana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 13th minute of play. Jeremy Avellana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Club Dep. Soc. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Deunoro Barbadillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana managed to reach the ball for a save.

Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jeremy Avellana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. 57 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. With an all-out effort, Peru's Jeremy Avellana threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Anthon Öberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peru played a much better game than Club Dep. Soc. Rodo and deserved their victory. The Club Dep. Soc. Rodo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
