Paulo Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Godoi in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, 吴洲坚 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 55th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
