Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Emeterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, one of Buenos y Malos Ayres:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Honorio Emeterio. 0-2. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Tomas Berganza put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Honorio Emeterio. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorio Emeterio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Buenos y Malos Ayres getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Timoteo Mergildo hit a great ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 73 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Miralles in the 76th minute of play forced Buenos y Malos Ayres's goalkeeper Honorio Emeterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geronimo Boniel kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorio Emeterio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Buenos y Malos Ayres's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Honorio Emeterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Honorio Emeterio to make any attempt to save it. When Tomas Berganza in the 95th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Honorio Emeterio kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-8 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
