SAN LORENZO FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lv Tian Yuan hit a great ball. Lv Ang Jing hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Lisandro Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lisandro Nuñez scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SAN LORENZO FC's Isaias Rosario was substituted for Ernie Siegel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Dario Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal.
