The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Gasteiz Latorre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Club Dep. Soc. Rodo were awarded a corner. Gasteiz Latorre went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gasteiz Latorre got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gasteiz Latorre in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Santino Seco got a free kick in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Gasteiz Latorre dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares, 1-0. After 18 played minutes Club Dep. Soc. Rodo got a freekick which was hit by Salvino Masses. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gasteiz Latorre in the 22nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gasteiz Latorre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Gasteiz Latorre tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Gasteiz Latorre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 35th minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Dep. Soc. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Avellana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Anthon Öberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Öberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 62nd minute of play. Jeremy Avellana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd match minute, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deunoro Barbadillo to maneuver through the defense. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. A collision led to Club Dep. Soc. Rodo getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Deunoro Barbadillo hit a great ball. Ignacio Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abram Secada's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Jeremy Avellana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthon Öberg in the 84th minute of play. Anthon Öberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthon Öberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Öberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 90th minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
