Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Facundo Cadaval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. BARRILETE COSMICO's Jesus Llope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lionel Messi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BARRILETE COSMICO fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
