With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Taurino Hernaiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Stanislav Dvorskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Stanislav Dvorskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 32nd minute of play. In the 39th minute, Leonides Rioja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Bermudo Uranga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bermudo Uranga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Resistencia Tayrona FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bermudo Uranga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Resistencia Tayrona FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Stanislav Dvorskiy. 0-2. After the first half Panama were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zernin Losa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. Zernin Losa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanislav Dvorskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Resistencia Tayrona FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Leonides Rioja hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Stanislav Dvorskiy. Resistencia Tayrona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Matthew Garrido made in the 65th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Abraham Alguacil. With a little luck, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Stanislav Dvorskiy got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Rencio Diez was substituted for Maore Tejerina. Resistencia Tayrona FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Tomas Berganza scored to the left of an out of position Stanislav Dvorskiy, making the score, 0-4. 84 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Miralles came free, but Stanislav Dvorskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanislav Dvorskiy made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Alessandro Manzanal scored 1-4 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Miguel Miralles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama played a much better game than Resistencia Tayrona FC and deserved their victory. The Resistencia Tayrona FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
