After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bogdan Kornatowski quite easily take care of the ball. In the 30th match minute, Peluchita Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslaw Czeszyk to maneuver through the defense. Marciano Obeko's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marciano Obeko helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peluchita Fc fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Froilan Tabb 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Yu Zheng Zheng came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Peluchita Fc booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lautaro Mancebo made a kick off. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Tabb in the 54th minute of play. Eulalio Abaunza struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Wiktor Pusiak hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogdan Kornatowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
