The tension between the Ecuador and the Snorlax FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 17 played minutes Snorlax FC got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Jesus Sepúlveda. After 19 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tancredo Manguyague was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team.
