In the 33rd minute, Viktor Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Gai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ola Modig in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Jantes lag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Modig didn't get a good kick on the ball.
